Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Countries (AAMDC)
AAMDC is an independent association of Alberta’s 69 counties and municipal districts. It helps rural municipalities achieve strong, effective local government.

Alberta Centre for Sustainable Rural Communities (ACSRC)
ACSRC fills the gap for research and policy in rural areas by fostering constructive dialogue, promoting interdisciplinary and collaborative research, and developing partnerships between the University of Alberta and rural communities in Alberta and beyond.

Alberta First

Alberta First is a provincial, municipal, and industry partnership that promotes business and community development across Alberta.

Government of Alberta – Advanced Education and Technology (AET)
AET develops program standards with industry, counsels apprentices and employers, provides funding for approved programs, certified apprentices and occupational trainees. It funds education providers, provides student financial assistance, approves programs of study, and licenses and certified education providers. AET also provides strategic leadership for science and research, manages funds investments and facilitates technology commercialization and development.

Government of Alberta - Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development
The primary focus of this section of government is to create a diversified and prosperous economy. The Ministry achieves this by working with others to promote prosperity for Alberta through a strong, competitive, sustainable agriculture and food industry.

Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC)
NADC is a regional development council with a focus on advancing the development of the northern economy.

Tourism Futures
This site offers professional assistance and guidance for new and existing entrepreneurs. It is government and industry sponsored and is designed to increase capacity and growth of the tourism sector in the Canadian Badlands by increasing the knowledge, skills and abilities of local individuals and organizations. The tools this site offers can be used across the Alberta.

This organization works to strengthen western innovation, entrepreneurship and community economic development.

This website showcases efforts to improve the quality of life in rural communities and ensure that federal policies and programs respond to these needs.

Centre for Innovative and Entrepreneurial Leadership (CIEL)

CIEL helps strengthen communities become more business-friendly, culturally vibrant, and sustainable.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)
FCM represents the interests of municipalities on policy and program matters under federal jurisdiction.

Rural Ontario Institute (ROI)
ROI is a catalyst for dialogue, collaboration and action on issues facing rural Ontario. It delivers leadership training and development to ensure that rural contributes to an overall healthy province.

Solidarité Rurale
The mission of this organization is to promote the revitalization and development of Quebec’s rural communities to address their population decline.
