A New Publication Will Help Albertans Gain Basic Knowledge About First Nations, Metis, and Inuit People in Alberta.

“This publication offers a starting point for Albertans to learn about the diverse cultures of Aboriginal people, their history, current lives and future aspirations," says Aboriginal Relations Minister, Robin Campbell. "Creating understanding provides an opportunity for Aboriginal people and other Albertans to work together in building Alberta socially, culturally, and economically.”

Aboriginal Peoples of Alberta: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow features:
•    information on First Nations, Metis and Inuit people in Alberta;
•    significant historic information and dates; and,
•    contemporary views of Aboriginal people.

Alberta is home to more than 220,000 First Nations, Metis and Inuit people, the third largest population in Canada.
