June 18, 2010Dinosaur Park off to a Flying Start

Have you ever seen a dinosaur fly?
The people of Gibbons have.
They got to experience the sight first hand on Thursday, June 18, as rubber, mechanical dinosaurs were lifted by giant helicopters to their new home near Gibbons – the Jurassic Forest and Learning Centre.
On July 30, 2010 the dinosaur habitat will be open to the public. The 40 dinosaurs will move, blink, growl and interact with visitors! The park will have guided trails, and an education center with fossils, artifacts and timelines.
The privately funded park has promise to become an important tourist attraction for Alberta. It seems to be off to quite the start, with dinosaurs flying across the sky.
