Edmonton Institutions Partner to Host “Big Sky Thinking” Conference

NorQuest College, NAIT, and Grant MacEwan University will co-host the annual Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) conference in Edmonton from June 5 to 7, 2011.

The conference, themed “Big Sky Thinking,” will bring together over 600 college presidents, vice presidents, faculty, and students from across Canada.

The conference offers college representatives opportunities to discuss their role in the local community and national and global economies.

The pre-conference symposium on June 4 focuses on:
·    Immigrant integration and international development
·    Funding for applied research at colleges
·    The key role being played by colleges serving aboriginal rural and remote communities
