Bookmark and Share

ARDN would like to announce that the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) recently honoured Gerry Paradis, Associate Vice President at Red Deer College (RDC), with the Leadership Excellence Silver Award.

Gerry’s extraordinary leadership abilities have been appreciated by ARDN staff and members through his involvement with and contributions to ARDN. Gerry is the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Research Advisory Committee and assisted in organizing RDC as co-host for ARDN’s 2010 Annual General Meeting and Showcase Event.

Gerry embodies the leadership principles of leading by example, making a difference, working to coach and inspire, staying true to your values, continually learning, and empowering and relying on your team.

Gerry’s leadership and work in preparation for degree-granting status has positioned RDC for the future and will have a lasting impact on the institution.  His understanding and development of a strategic planning process for RDC is often a model for other institutions.

Gerry has been involved with a variety of local and provincial education committees and partners and has been instrumental in the continued development of ARDN. Believing in the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise, Gerry has assisted organizations in everything from strategic planning to governance.

On behalf of the ARDN’s Board of Directors, member institutions, and staff, Chair of the Board, Rick Neidig extends congratulations to Gerry.
